Job Description: Boston College seeks a (Senior) Compensation Analyst to assist in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the University's compensation and performance management programs and to advise Human Resources and business partners on related issues.

This position will be responsible for ensuring competitive and equitable pay practices, performing position evaluations and market analyses to classify and market price positions and equity analyses to set salaries in consultation with business partners. This role will conduct and participate in salary surveys and interpret results, produce reports on Compensation activity and expenditure and perform trend analyses, and assist in the annual salary budget planning process. The (Senior) Compensation Analyst will administer the annual performance appraisal and merit increase programs and participate in a variety of special projects, including technology systems initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • One to two years compensation analyst experience
  • Must possess high level Excel and data management skills
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • A desire to learn the business of a broad range of functionally diverse organizations
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of Peoplesoft-HR and on-line market pricing systems
  • Experience working in a higher education institution desirable
